About Me

Meet Leigh

Leigh - LSF Counselling

"Creating a space where you feel truly heard."

I am an Integrative counsellor, currently completing my Masters degree (dissertation in progress). My portfolio and assignments are complete, and I am fully qualified to practice.

My background includes a BA Hons in Sociology and a PGCE, bringing a unique academic and educational perspective to my therapeutic work. I believe in creating a non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely.

Continuous Learning

Currently undertaking my Masters dissertation, ensuring practice is informed by latest research.

Beyond the Session

I believe that good counsellors are lifelong learners. When I'm not in the therapy room, you'll often find me with my nose in a book—whether that's exploring new therapeutic approaches, delving into a novel, or simply recharging with a good story.

This love of learning and curiosity about the human experience informs my practice every day, helping me bring fresh perspectives and deep empathy to our work together.

Confidentiality

What you share in sessions is treated as confidential. There are a small number of legal and ethical exceptions — for example, where there is a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else, or where disclosure is required by law. I will always aim to discuss this with you first wherever it is safe and possible to do so, and we will go through it together before we begin working.
